The elementary level Next of Kin curriculum is an interdisciplinary science curriculum with interactive and engaging lessons for 2nd - 5th grade students. The curriculum is written and organized to present integrated concepts focusing on free-living and captive chimpanzees as well as issues regarding animal experimentation. The activities are designed to promote awareness, attitudes, and actions to solve the problems that not only chimpanzees, but all animals, are faced with, whether living in captivity or living endangered in their natural environments.
