Chimpanzee Enrichment - Object Enrichment

Human caregivers place new objects in the chimpanzee areas every day.

Below is a list of some of the objects we use regularly at CHCI. If you'd like to donate something from this list or something from your own imagination to the chimpanzees, we would welcome it. Gift Cards, to be used at stores such as Albertsons, Safeway, Target, Fred Meyer, Etc., are also a great way to donate!

We use no metal, no glass, no electronics, nothing with small parts, and of course nothing toxic for the safety of the chimpanzees. Please make sure that any food items (including items like toothpaste) are new and sealed in their original packaging.
