Tatu and Loulis are ambassadors for endangered chimpanzees everywhere, captive and free-living. They taught us that our next of kin needs to be respected, not exploited.

Because we are affiliated with a University, many people assume that we are financially secure. That is not the case. Each year we are charged with raising the funds to care for Tatu and Loulis. We provide the food, medical care, enrichment and salaries for trusted human caregivers. We also must fund our programs and operations, right down to the phones and photocopies. We depend upon the kindness and generosity of our Friends to help us continue the good work.
